Structure and Composition
1 capsule contains testosterone undecanoate dissolved in oleic acid, 40 mg; Patients in the 60 pcs.
Pharmachologic effect
Mode of action – androgens.
Fills deficit of endogenous testosterone. Regulates protein, nitrogen, phosphorus metabolism, stimulates the development of male sexual organs and secondary sexual characteristics.

Pharmacokinetics
It increases the level of testosterone and its active metabolites in the plasma, as not subject to primary hepatic metabolism, is deposited in the lymphatic system, while retaining its activity.
Indications preparation Andriol
Hormone replacement therapy: post-castration syndrome, syndrome, hypopituitarism, endocrine impotence, menopausal disorders in men (including reduced libido, mental and physical activity), osteoporosis (against the background of androgen deficiency).
Contraindications
Prostate carcinoma or breast cancer (including suspected).
Side effects
Priapism (and other signs of excessive sexual stimulation); sodium and water retention; boys in prepubertal – accelerated sexual development, increased frequency of erections, penis enlargement, premature closure of the epiphysis.
Dosing and Administration
Inside, the food, the capsule is swallowed whole, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid. Starting dose – 120-160 mg per day (half dose in the morning and the other half – in the evening, when receiving an odd number higher dose capsule taken in the morning) for 2-3 weeks, then – 40-120 mg per day.
Precautionary measures
When side effects of androgen treatment should be stopped and after their disappearance appoint smaller doses. Patients with latent or overt cardiac failure, renal dysfunction, hypertension, epilepsy, migraine (including history) should be under constant medical supervision. Used with caution in prepubertal boys.
