Description of the pharmacological action
It replenishes deficiency of endogenous testosterone. Regulates protein, nitrogen, phosphorus metabolism, stimulates the development of male reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics.
Indications
Hormone replacement therapy: post-castration syndrome, syndrome, hypopituitarism, endocrine impotence, menopausal disorders in men (including reduced libido, mental and physical activity), osteoporosis (in the background of androgen deficiency).

Pharmacodynamics
Androgenic means also has anabolic effects. The target cells (skin, prostate, seminal vesicles, epididymis) recovering the 5-alpha-reductase to 5a-dihydrotestosterone, which specifically interacts with the receptor on the cell surface and penetrates into the nucleus. In some tissues (including the hypothalamus) is converted to estradiol. In men, it stimulates the development and activity of the gonads, prostate, seminal vesicles, the formation of secondary male characteristics (height, deep voice, growth of beard and mustache), increases libido and potency; indirectly, through the central nervous system, affects sexual behavior. It reduces fat deposition and removal of trace elements. It suppresses the production and release of pituitary LH and FSH. It has anabolic effects: involved in skeletal growth, increases the mass of skeletal muscles; inhibits nitrogen, phosphorus, K +, sulfur needed for protein synthesis. 
Pharmacokinetics
Increases testosterone and its active metabolites in the plasma, as It does not undergo hepatic metabolism primary, deposited in the lymphatic system, while retaining its activity.
Contraindications
prostate carcinoma or breast cancer (including suspected).
Side effects
Priapism (and other signs of excessive sexual stimulation); sodium and water retention; in prepubertal boys – accelerated sexual development, increased frequency of erections, penis enlargement, premature closure of the epiphysis.
Dosing and Administration
Inside, the food, the capsule is swallowed whole, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid. Starting dose – 120-160 mg per day (half dose in the morning and the other half – in the evening, when receiving an odd number higher dose capsule taken in the morning) for 2-3 weeks, then – 40-120 mg per day.
When androgen-dependent adverse reactions treatment should be stopped and after their disappearance appoint smaller doses. Patients with latent or overt cardiac failure, renal dysfunction, hypertension, epilepsy, migraine (including history) should be under constant medical supervision. With care use in prepubertal boys.
